#1 with the keyword “Autoescuela Barcelona
Zona F is a chain of driving schools with over 30 years of experience in the industry. They have more than 15 centers in Barcelona and the surrounding areas, offering various types of driving licenses and training programs.
Zona F had a website primarily focused on desktop, which had been developed in WordPress for many years and was becoming outdated. Seventy percent of the traffic came from mobile devices since their core target audience comprised teenagers who didn’t have a driver’s license, and the website wasn’t well adapted for mobile users. They had worked with several marketing agencies, but the expected results were not being achieved.
Migrations are challenging
The main problem was the migration process. They were transitioning from a WordPress site (which Google was already familiar with) to a completely custom-developed CMS (which Google had no prior knowledge of). Initially, they planned to remove some license types and restructure the main categories, which didn’t favor SEO. The fact that a marketing agency had previously failed to deliver results was a concern that needed thorough analysis to understand what had gone wrong.
Strategy is key
The first step was to identify the most visited categories and pages in an attempt to preserve the existing content on each landing page as much as possible. We had to restructure all the URLs since not all of them followed the same naming convention. Knowing that 70% of the traffic came from mobile devices, we focused 100% on this platform, prioritizing the mobile version. We created all Google Ads campaigns from scratch, targeting each category independently. We configured all events to measure impact and installed a heatmap using Hotjar.
Many will explain how to run a marketing campaign or how to work on SEO… But only the best show how they’ve achieved it. The number of success stories in our agency is growing, and we’re sharing some cases explaining how we’ve done it.
